The objective of the association is to foster strong bonds between alumni and the institute, to keep alumni informed , and create a networkenabling them to remain engaged with their almamater and also contribute to institute, society and nation
By the vision of Director NEERI Dr. Rakesh Kumar Alumni Association NEERI (AAN) has established in 2017 as a Non-profit organisation. AAN creates and maintains a life-long connection between the Institute, its Alumni and the Environment. In collaboration with an extremely dedicated volunteer board of directors, the Alumni Association works to connect alumni, to work on environment through a diversity of events, programming and services.
Vision and Priorities The mission of the Association is to foster strong bonds between alumni, environment and the Institute, and help shape it's future through the Association's programmes and services.
Alumni Outreach Building Membership:
The Institute's alumni are its lasting legacy and strongest voice. Finding new ways to build lifetime membership base is an integral task of the Association. Joining AAN is one of the easiest ways to reconnect, give back to the Institute, and serve as a springboard for further involvement.
How to Become a Life Member:
Alumni Member:
Anyone who has joined NEERI as Research Fellow or Scientist and worked on environmental issues is eligible for life membership.
Associate Member:
The technical staff of NEERI shall be eligible to become Associate member.
Honorary Member:
AAN may decide to confer honorary membership to eminent persons. All Directors of NEERI Nagpur who have been patrons of AAN will be honorary member after they cease to hold the position of Director Membership fees are Rs 5000/- only. Involvement and Services:
Developing an active and engaged alumni network empowers both the Institute and its graduates. Whether our alumni are interacting with the Institute or its student body, attending events, working with the Institute on various Legacy projects or serving as volunteers, their contributions make a difference to NEERI. AAN continues to seek innovative ways to serve alumni by providing social, educational, and professional opportunities in environmental field that appeal to our broad constituency.
Your Alumni Association offers
- Alumni Career and Environmental Services: Membership links you to a strong network of more then 1000 members functioning in various capacities in different parts of the world. You can participate in seminars, workshops, and technical events that showcase your skills and accomplishments, and take advantage of opportunities to meet specialists and eminent captains of industry. The focus is on innovations originating in Science and Technology and the awareness for environment showcasing selected novel ideas in practice, and provides a platform for the innovators to disseminate their ideas to a wider and well-connected audience.
- Life-long Learning: Enjoy lectures, discussion sessions, on-campus conferences, conducted by eminent alumni and current and emeriti faculty.
- Student-Alumni Contact: Support current students NEERI through different mentoring opportunities either by being a part of on-campus lectures or through an in-person or online commitment; provide internships; recruit fresh graduates; present career programs etc. For more details visit www.neeri.res.in
